TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Introduction
Welcome to Pit Stop UAE.
Pit Stop UAE
Operated by: TAWAQAF HUFRAT FOR AUTO SPARE PARTS & COMPONENTS TRADING L.L.C.
Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Trade Licence No.: 1208348
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Pit Stop UAE website, product information, order placement, payment, sourcing, delivery, cancellation, returns, warranty claims, and after-sales service.
By placing and confirming an order through the website or any official Pit Stop UAE sales channel, the customer acknowledges and accepts these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms shall be interpreted together with the applicable laws and regulations of the United Arab Emirates, including applicable consumer protection and electronic commerce regulations.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict any mandatory legal right that cannot lawfully be waived under UAE law.
2. About Pit Stop UAE
Pit Stop UAE operates in the sale, sourcing and trading of automotive spare parts within the United Arab Emirates.
Products offered may include:
-
Genuine vehicle manufacturer parts;
-
Original equipment supplier parts;
-
OEM or OE supplier parts;
-
Aftermarket parts;
-
Replacement parts;
-
Parts sourced from local or overseas suppliers specifically upon customer request.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Pit Stop UAE is not the manufacturer of the products offered for sale.
3. Product Information
Pit Stop UAE makes reasonable efforts to ensure that product information displayed on the website is accurate and up to date.
Product information may include:
-
Product name;
-
Brand;
-
Manufacturer;
-
Part number;
-
Superseded part numbers;
-
Cross-reference numbers;
-
Technical specifications;
-
Images;
-
Vehicle applications;
-
Availability;
-
Price;
-
Estimated sourcing or delivery time.
A significant portion of product data may originate from vehicle manufacturers, spare parts manufacturers, suppliers and technical databases.
Due to continuous changes in part numbers, manufacturer supersessions, packaging, design and catalogue data, certain product information may change over time.
4. Product Images
Product images are provided to assist with product identification.
Packaging, colour, labelling, markings or minor visual details of the delivered product may differ from the image shown on the website, particularly where the manufacturer has changed packaging or product presentation.
Where such differences do not affect the part number, application, technical specification or function of the product, such visual differences shall not by themselves constitute delivery of an incorrect product.
5. Part Numbers and Supersessions
Vehicle and spare parts manufacturers may replace older part numbers with new or superseding part numbers.
Where reliable manufacturer information confirms that a part number has been officially replaced by another number, supply of the valid superseding part may be considered fulfilment of the original order, provided that the replacement remains technically applicable to the intended use.
Cross-reference numbers are provided for identification and comparison purposes and may differ according to vehicle specification, production date, market or manufacturer.
6. Vehicle Compatibility
Correct spare-part selection may require detailed vehicle information.
Vehicle model and year alone may not always be sufficient. Information such as VIN, engine type, transmission, production date, option code or other technical specifications may also be required.
If there is any doubt regarding compatibility, the customer should provide the required vehicle information, especially the VIN, before the order is finalised.
Pit Stop UAE will, where possible, check compatibility using available catalogues and technical information.
7. Orders Checked by VIN
Where the customer provides a complete and correct VIN and specifically requests Pit Stop UAE to identify the correct part, Pit Stop UAE will make reasonable efforts to verify the correct application using the available technical catalogues.
If Pit Stop UAE selects or confirms an incorrect part despite having received complete and correct vehicle information, the matter will be handled under the section relating to errors made by Pit Stop UAE.
8. Orders Based on a Customer-Supplied Part Number
Where the customer provides and confirms a specific part number, Pit Stop UAE will process the order based on that part number unless the customer has specifically requested a separate vehicle compatibility check.
If:
-
the customer selected the part number;
-
Pit Stop UAE supplied that exact part number or its valid official supersession;
-
and the product supplied is correct and undamaged;
then incompatibility with the customer's vehicle resulting from an incorrect selection by the customer or mechanic shall not be considered an error by Pit Stop UAE.
9. Customer-Supplied Information
The customer is responsible for the accuracy of information provided for product identification, including:
-
VIN;
-
vehicle model;
-
model year;
-
engine type;
-
transmission type;
-
part number;
-
photographs;
-
mechanic instructions;
-
or other technical information.
Where incorrect or incomplete customer information causes an incorrect part to be selected, Pit Stop UAE shall not be responsible for the resulting mismatch, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
10. Prices
Unless expressly stated otherwise, all prices shown on the website are in United Arab Emirates Dirhams.
Value Added Tax shall be applied where required under applicable UAE law.
Delivery charges may be calculated separately from the product price.
Pit Stop UAE reserves the right to change product prices before an order has been finally confirmed.
Once an order has been confirmed and the required payment has been received, ordinary subsequent price changes on the website will not affect that confirmed order.
11. Pricing or Information Errors
In exceptional cases, product price, availability or specifications may be displayed incorrectly as a result of:
-
system error;
-
human error;
-
incorrect supplier information;
-
or technical malfunction.
Where such an error is identified before dispatch, Pit Stop UAE will inform the customer.
If the customer does not accept the corrected price or terms, the affected order may be cancelled and the corresponding payment refunded in accordance with applicable law.
12. Placing an Order
Orders may be placed by individuals or businesses.
Orders may be submitted through:
-
the Pit Stop UAE website;
-
official WhatsApp channels;
-
email;
-
or other officially designated Pit Stop UAE sales channels.
The customer is responsible for reviewing the product, quantity, part number and order details before final confirmation.
13. Order Confirmation
Adding a product to a shopping cart or requesting a quotation does not by itself constitute final acceptance of an order by Pit Stop UAE.
An order is considered confirmed once it has been accepted by Pit Stop UAE and the required payment or deposit has been received.
14. Product Availability
Products may be:
-
available in Pit Stop UAE stock;
-
available from a supplier;
-
available to order;
-
subject to availability confirmation;
-
or unavailable.
Availability, particularly supplier stock, may change without prior notice.
If an ordered product becomes unavailable after order placement, Pit Stop UAE will inform the customer.
15. Alternative Products
If an ordered product becomes unavailable, Pit Stop UAE may offer:
-
an alternative brand;
-
an equivalent part;
-
or a valid replacement part number.
No materially different substitute will be supplied without the customer's approval.
If the customer does not accept the proposed substitute, the amount paid for the unavailable item will be refunded where applicable.
16. Special Order Parts
Many products supplied by Pit Stop UAE may be purchased specifically for an individual customer after the order is placed.
Such products may involve non-refundable costs including:
-
freight charges;
-
import costs;
-
customs duties;
-
clearance charges;
-
banking costs;
-
sourcing costs;
-
and other related expenses.
For this reason, once a special-order product has been ordered from a supplier, cancellation due solely to a customer's change of mind may not be accepted.
17. Sourcing and Delivery Times
Unless expressly confirmed in writing as guaranteed, sourcing and delivery times are estimates.
Delays may occur due to circumstances outside Pit Stop UAE's reasonable control, including:
-
supplier delays;
-
transport delays;
-
customs procedures;
-
public holidays;
-
weather conditions;
-
logistics issues;
-
courier delays;
-
sudden stock changes;
-
or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Pit Stop UAE will make reasonable efforts to inform customers of significant delays.
18. Delivery
Pit Stop UAE currently provides online order delivery within the United Arab Emirates unless otherwise specifically agreed in writing.
Delivery charges may vary depending on:
-
destination;
-
weight;
-
dimensions;
-
type of product;
-
and delivery method.
The customer is responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and valid contact details.
Pit Stop UAE shall not be responsible for delays caused by incorrect delivery information, incomplete details or the recipient being unavailable.
19. Inspection Upon Delivery
Customers are encouraged to inspect the packaging and product condition upon receipt.
If the package shows visible transport damage, the customer should notify both the delivery provider and Pit Stop UAE as soon as reasonably possible and, where practical, take photographs before opening the package.
20. Payment Methods
Accepted payment methods may include:
-
online payment;
-
bank card;
-
payment link;
-
bank transfer;
-
or other payment methods approved by Pit Stop UAE.
For special-order or customer-specific products, Pit Stop UAE may require full payment or a deposit before placing the order with the supplier.
21. Cancellation Before Sourcing
A customer wishing to cancel an order should contact Pit Stop UAE as soon as possible.
If the product has not yet been purchased, ordered or committed to a supplier, Pit Stop UAE will consider the cancellation request based on the status of the order.
22. Cancellation After Sourcing
Once:
-
the product has been specially ordered;
-
payment has been made to the supplier;
-
the product has been dispatched;
-
or sourcing-related costs have already been incurred;
a customer's change of mind, change of plan or later lack of need does not by itself create a right to cancellation or refund.
This section does not affect any mandatory rights available under applicable UAE law.
23. Return Policy
Due to the specialised nature of automotive spare parts and the costs associated with sourcing, freight, importation and customs clearance, Pit Stop UAE does not accept the return of a correct and undamaged product solely because the customer has changed their mind, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
The following circumstances, by themselves, do not create a right to return:
-
change of mind;
-
buyer's remorse;
-
no longer requiring the product;
-
sale of the vehicle after ordering;
-
change in repair plans;
-
change of opinion by the mechanic;
-
incorrect diagnosis by the customer;
-
incorrect diagnosis by the mechanic;
-
incorrect part number provided by the customer;
-
or finding the same or similar product at a different price after placing the order.
24. When Return, Replacement, Repair or Refund May Be Considered
A return, replacement, repair or refund may be considered, as appropriate, where:
-
the delivered product does not correspond to the confirmed order;
-
Pit Stop UAE supplied the wrong product;
-
Pit Stop UAE selected or confirmed the wrong part despite receiving complete and correct vehicle information;
-
the product is defective, damaged or incomplete and qualifies for a remedy under applicable law or warranty;
-
the material characteristics of the product differ from the description given at the time of sale;
-
or the customer otherwise has a mandatory legal right to repair, replacement, return or refund under UAE law.
25. Condition of Returned Goods Where Pit Stop UAE Made an Error
Where a return results from an error by Pit Stop UAE and the issue is not a technical defect discovered after installation, the product should, where reasonably possible:
-
remain unused;
-
remain uninstalled;
-
be free from damage;
-
show no installation marks;
-
remain in its original packaging;
-
include all original accessories;
-
and remain in a condition suitable for resale as a new product.
Where the nature of a defect could only reasonably be discovered after installation or normal testing, such installation or testing shall not by itself remove any mandatory legal rights of the customer.
26. Customer-Selected Parts
Where the customer personally selects and confirms a specific part number without requesting Pit Stop UAE to verify vehicle compatibility, and Pit Stop UAE supplies that part number or its valid official replacement, the product will not be returnable solely because it is later found to be incompatible with the customer's vehicle, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
27. Electrical and Electronic Parts
Due to the nature of electrical and electronic automotive parts, where a correct and non-defective product has been supplied, opening sealed packaging, installation, programming or use may prevent any voluntary return.
This restriction does not affect the customer's legal rights where the product is proven defective, incorrect or materially non-conforming.
28. Defective Products
If a customer believes that a product contains a manufacturing or technical defect, the customer should notify Pit Stop UAE within a reasonable period after discovering the issue.
Pit Stop UAE may request supporting information including:
-
order number or invoice;
-
VIN;
-
vehicle details;
-
installation date;
-
vehicle mileage at installation;
-
mileage when the issue occurred;
-
workshop report;
-
photographs;
-
videos;
-
fault codes;
-
or return of the product for technical inspection.
Any mandatory legal rights relating to defective products remain unaffected.
29. Warranty
Where a product is supplied with a warranty, its duration and conditions may depend on:
-
product type;
-
manufacturer;
-
supplier;
-
specific warranty terms;
-
and applicable UAE law.
Pit Stop UAE does not apply one universal warranty period to all products because warranty conditions may vary significantly between brands, manufacturers and product types.
Where a specific warranty applies, its details may be stated on the invoice, product page or accompanying documentation.
30. Warranty Assessment
Failure of a component after installation does not automatically establish that the product had a manufacturing defect.
Where necessary, the product may be inspected by:
-
Pit Stop UAE;
-
the supplier;
-
the manufacturer;
-
or an appropriate technical party.
Any such assessment shall be carried out subject to the customer's applicable legal rights.
31. Warranty Exclusions
To the extent permitted by law, warranty coverage may not apply where failure results from:
-
incorrect installation;
-
misuse;
-
accident or impact;
-
external damage;
-
modification or alteration;
-
unauthorised repair;
-
installation on an unsuitable vehicle;
-
use outside manufacturer specifications;
-
motorsport or competition use;
-
non-standard performance modification;
-
inadequate maintenance;
-
insufficient lubricant or coolant;
-
failure of another vehicle component;
-
short circuit;
-
incorrect voltage;
-
incorrect programming or coding;
-
or failure to follow manufacturer installation procedures.
Such exclusions apply only where the claimed cause is relevant to the failure and do not remove any mandatory legal rights.
32. Installation and Removal Costs
Unless required by applicable law or separately agreed in writing, the sale of a spare part does not automatically include or cover:
-
labour charges;
-
installation;
-
removal;
-
vehicle diagnosis;
-
replacement vehicle costs;
-
vehicle downtime;
-
towing;
-
or other consequential expenses.
A product warranty does not automatically mean that installation or removal labour is covered unless expressly stated in the warranty terms or required by applicable law.
33. Installation of Products
Automotive parts should be installed by a suitably qualified mechanic or workshop.
Certain products may require:
-
specialised tools;
-
coding;
-
programming;
-
adjustment;
-
calibration;
-
bleeding;
-
or manufacturer-specific installation procedures.
Incorrect installation may damage the product or other vehicle components.
34. Consumable and Wear Items
Certain products, including:
-
filters;
-
brake pads;
-
brake discs;
-
spark plugs;
-
belts;
-
bushes;
-
wiper blades;
-
and other wear items,
have a service life affected by vehicle condition, driving environment and usage.
Normal wear and the end of a product's service life do not by themselves constitute a manufacturing defect.
35. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability of Pit Stop UAE that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable UAE law.
To the extent permitted by law, Pit Stop UAE shall not be responsible for losses resulting from:
-
inaccurate information supplied by the customer;
-
incorrect installation;
-
failure of other vehicle components;
-
misuse;
-
or circumstances not directly caused by a breach by Pit Stop UAE.
36. Business Customers and Workshops
For orders placed by workshops, spare-parts traders, companies or other customers purchasing for business purposes, the product description and confirmed part number stated in the order or quotation shall form the basis of supply.
Business customers are responsible for reviewing technical information and part numbers before confirming an order.
Any legal rights applicable to such customers under UAE law remain unaffected.
37. Invoice
Pit Stop UAE will provide a sales invoice or other sales documentation as required by applicable law.
The invoice may include:
-
seller details;
-
date;
-
description of goods;
-
quantity;
-
price;
-
applicable VAT;
-
and warranty information where relevant.
38. Customer Information and Privacy
Customer information may be used for legitimate business and legal purposes including:
-
processing orders;
-
payment;
-
sourcing;
-
delivery;
-
after-sales service;
-
warranty administration;
-
accounting;
-
and legal compliance.
Information may be shared where necessary with relevant service providers such as:
-
payment processors;
-
couriers;
-
suppliers;
-
or competent authorities.
Pit Stop UAE does not sell customer personal information to unrelated third parties for unrelated commercial purposes.
39. Payment Security
Online payments are processed through the payment service providers used by Pit Stop UAE.
Where a transaction is reasonably suspected to involve fraud, unauthorised card use or unlawful activity, Pit Stop UAE may suspend or cancel the order to the extent permitted by law.
40. Communications
The customer agrees that necessary order-related communications may be sent through:
-
email;
-
telephone;
-
SMS;
-
or WhatsApp.
Operational communications relating to an order are separate from marketing communications.
41. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
If a problem arises, the customer should first contact Pit Stop UAE and provide the relevant order details and supporting information.
Pit Stop UAE will make reasonable efforts to resolve complaints fairly and within a reasonable period.
Nothing in this section prevents a customer from contacting the competent UAE consumer protection authority or any other legally competent authority.
42. Governing Law
These Terms and all transactions involving Pit Stop UAE shall be governed by the applicable laws and regulations of the United Arab Emirates.
If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it may be submitted to the competent authorities or courts in accordance with UAE law.
43. Changes to These Terms
Pit Stop UAE may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in law, business operations or commercial practices.
The version applicable at the time the order is placed, together with the applicable law in force at that time, will generally govern that order.
Subsequent amendments will not retrospectively remove rights already accrued under an earlier transaction.
44. Priority of UAE Law
If any provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory provision of applicable UAE law, the mandatory legal provision shall prevail to the extent of that conflict.
The remaining provisions shall continue to apply to the fullest extent legally permitted.
Nothing in these Terms shall be interpreted as excluding any mandatory consumer right or legal obligation of Pit Stop UAE.
45. Contact Pit Stop UAE
